Capture TC IN and TC OUT, generate the reference thumbnail, and read duration as timecode.

Timecode connects a written instruction to a precise frame. When a compatible Frame.io link and TC IN are complete, RushTrack starts the thumbnail in the background while you continue entering the shot.

1. Enter and correct timecode

Enter eight consecutive digits and RushTrack adds separators. Editing a middle digit keeps the cursor in place.

  • 01HH:MM:SS:FF format
  • 02TC OUT must follow TC IN
  • 03Duration is TC OUT minus TC IN

2. Let the thumbnail finish

Extraction starts as soon as the link and TC IN are valid, so the rest of the form remains available.

  • 01Processing state is visible
  • 02Saving does not cancel extraction
  • 03The row receives the thumbnail when ready

3. Use duration to decide

The tracker shows MM:SS:FF, or HH:MM:SS:FF beyond one hour, and lets you sort the column.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If something does not work as expected

The thumbnail does not appear

Confirm the Share Link opens without extra authentication, TC IN exists in the asset, and the link has not expired.

Duration is blank

Check that both timecodes are valid and TC OUT follows TC IN.
